The Verkhovna Rada appointed Olha Stefanishyna as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice at a plenary session of the parliament on 5 September 2024. The appointment of Stefanishyna was backed by 253 MPs. Before joining the government, Stefanishyna worked at Ilyashev & Partners, the leading Ukrainian Law Firm.
Olha Stefanishyna was born in 1985 in Odesa. She graduated from the Institute of International Relations, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Master of International Law) and the Odesa National Economic University with a degree in finance and credit.
Previously, Olha Stefanishyna also worked as the deputy director of the Department of International Law at the Ministry of Justice, headed the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
